Hi ppl,
i've been recently trying to get my mozilla 1.2.1 to render truetype fonts
with freetype2.
When logged in as root and firing up mozilla it works out of the box. But
being logged in as a plain user mozilla shows the web pages just without any
text.
Anyone got a clue where the roots of this problem (perhaps permissions) are?
Another problem is that the MS truetype fonts like verdana or tahoma are only
available for iso8859-1 but not for iso8859-15 (at least they don't show up
in mozillas font configuration) - does anyone know if this is mozilla related
or if those fonts are not included in the truetype module?
Another point is font configuration for gtk+/gtk+2 apps:
How can i set the fonts that will be used? Is there any application to do
this? Obviously it can be done through gnome control center... but i don't
want to install gnome on my box. Been looking for a possibility for some
time, maybe not hard enough...
Thanks in advance,
Timo
