alsa and modprobe

I've gotten the various alsa packages loaded and it's working fine.  However, when I boot I see a series of errors from modprobe
modprobe: modprober: Can't locate module snd-card-1
modprobe: modprober: Can't locate module snd-card-2
modprobe: modprober: Can't locate module snd-card-3
etc, through snd-card-7

No surprise, since I have only one sound card.  Is there a way to tell modprobe to load snd-card-0 and not worry about the others?  It's not really serious, just cosmetic.
