Ralph,
did you try to reset your mixersettings? Alsa gave me a few errors after
updating on my emu10k1. "alsactl restore" complained about a few wrong
numbers for devices.
So you should try and set your mixersettings again, use "alsactl store"
to save them and hope that it works :)
