Evening everyone,

I just hit a major bug in a project I compile locally (without lin),
which is due to our gcc defaulting to --no-as-needed. The project
is ROS(.org) and no, it's not really easily fixable.

Some other distributions(I know of Mandriva and Ubuntu) changed this default years ago.

What do you guys think about adding an (optional?) gcc patch to change gcc's default
for us as well?
