this second method is preferred by far, as in the first method you're blindly
assuming that elangelo's tree's current branch is the right one.
so please, do:
$ git-clone git://foo-projects.org/lunar/moonbase.git
$ cd moonbase
$ git-branch gnome
$ git-checkout gnome
$ git pull git://foo-projects.org/elangelo/moonbase.git gnome
