man Xorg
line 144
(this man page should be present in any recent xorg)

To be found on nvnews.net (Nvidia Linux section) too.

ignoreABI is official Nvidia workaround for this problem (till next driver)

Not only Nvidia blob. ignoreABI is universal xorg built-in workaround for any
older binary blobs. (proprietary matrox, ati, nvidia comes to my mind).
Might be useful for matrox as they recently released new driver for Parhelia
for x.org 7.2 few months ago so it will take some time to get xorg 7.3
driver)

Rumors say driver release might be in few days/weeks. (I think depends on how
many bugs will appear during testing). Nvidia says xorg 7.3 support will be
present in future releases. So it might be not the next one.
"The next driver release is not pending the Xorg-7.3 release."

8.41 will be present in next week:
*much faster OpenGL, may be faster than Nvidia
*support for Radeon HD 2xxx (R600)
and I hope they will add x.org 7.3 but who knows...

8.42 will come next month:
*AIGLX support
*fixes for R600 and below

Recent blob from matrox broke x->console switching so they may surprise us
with driver update soon (xorg 7.3 support too?). Or not :>
