ok... seems like all the Xfce modules were failing due to a missing
libmd5.la which i traced back to w3c-libwww that was failing to
compile... But it's a bit of a weird error which i can not trace back
on the inet... so for now i will not add the patch that fixes this
error till somebody else comes up with the same problem :)
Found the patch back on sgi with a couple of other patches which i
didn't use...

db had a problem with sunj2re and j2sdk installed at the same time...
(how that was possible i have no idea... but i fixed that :) )
