thats right--- but we can bump the version that we have 
tested...for example i use the ati driver, i can test it, i 
can bump it. its just as with all the other modules...most 
bumps are bugfix bumps. no reason to keep up to date with 
ALL the modules...no reason to stick with the releases 
either.
in the modular xorg there are bugfix versions and they are 
supposed to replace the release versions.
its comparatively complicated (*to much work*) to copy them 
to zlocal, just to forget to rm them again on updates. :P
