Hi all!

I have just uploaded the first alpha snapshot for the 1.6.2 series of the
lunar installation iso. This test ISO will install lunar-linux in the usual way
but also packs an extra punch: It provides a full installation of XOrg-7.2 and
Xfce-4.4!

This will accomodate most users who want to get started quickly to 'get X' up
and running immediately after installation. The ISO installs the base drivers
for ati, nvidia, intel cards and most legacy adapters (vga/vesa). After
installing, you can log in and type 'startxfce4' right away!

This rebuilt ISO fixes some minor critical issues that leaked into the i686 iso
(shadow/PAM misbehaving, consolechars init.d script errors) and comes with a
fully updated set of packages, including gcc-4.1.2.

Due to the extra packages the download size has increased to 455MB. The final
size of the installation is now about 1.8GB.

So, where does it go now? Why is this only an Alpha ISO? It's great!

Since the install size has grown significantly, I intend to add a package
selection menu so that one can skip installing XOrg and Xfce4, possibly even
narrow the base install size down to below the normal size.

Second, there is a lot of work to be done on the x86_64 ISO and lunar code. I
want to provide a full multilib install ISO for 1.6.2-final, and this will
require quite some extra time to work out.

Go get it!
