git download plugin

Hi sofar,

Saw that you added the git download plugin a while ago... i'm trying
to get this working with the modules of Xorg (they are switching from
cvs to git).
The following commands are needed to checkout the branch "xgl-0-0-1"
of the xserver.
$ git clone git://anongit.freedesktop.org/xorg/xserver
$ git checkout -f xgl-0-0-1

I tried to translate this in SOURCE_URL for lunar:
      SOURCE_URL=git://anongit.freedesktop.org/cvs/xorg/xserver:xgl-0-0-1

As you can see this doesn't work:

fetch-pack from 'git://anongit.freedesktop.org/cvs/xorg/xserver' failed.

I didn't find all that much modules that used git yet so i wondered if
you could give me some explanation on this?
