Why does glibc install kernel headers?

I dont have the kernel or the kernel-headers installed by lunar and I'd
like to redo the POST_INSTALL for glibc but I just wanted to see if
there really was a reason for the installation of the kernel-headers
after installing glibc or if its just old code?

If glibc overwrites the kernel-headers im just gonna change so that the
propper headers will be reinstalled if they where installed before.
