perl: suidperl and removal of perl before lining?

Hey, Im about to patch to make suidperl optional and I was just 
wondering why we remove perl before lining it?

I might see it as a problem pre v5 but I dont now. When compiling perl 
it doesnt seam to use anything perlish outside its build directory.

Anyway, I just tried lining without removal and it worked just fine. If 
there still is problem with major version upgrading I'd like to see a 
check of version before removing perl.
