lin gcc problems

Ok I figured I would post here to ask someone why this happens.  I can 
lin any modules without a problem as far as I can tell.  I only tested 
it with 4-5 other modules other than gcc.  When I "lin -c gcc" or "lin 
-c -r gcc" or "lin gcc" I get the same results ... nothing.

It fails right back outto the shell.  No matter what I do it does this.  
Anyway I ran a strace on it and have attached the last few lines to the 
email here.  Maybe someone can look at it and see where the problem 
might lie.  Oh I am running the latest theedge and the latest moonbase 
from dbguin.
