Lunar's moonbase and the 'theedge' repository have both been tagged with
point-release tags corresponding to every ISO release. I have now added
the tag 'STABLE' to theedge and henceforth the 'lunar' core tarball
updated hourly on dbguin will be extracted from the 'theedge' repository.
cvs updates to theedge will continue to propagate direclty to
"theedge.tar.bz2" (the . or HEAD tag) In order to cut a revision into
the Lunar tarball, you now must mark the files with the tag 'STABLE'.
So for instance to propagate a change in a single file from theedge
to lunar do something like the following from your /path/theedge/ sandbox:
cvs tag STABLE bin/lvu
to tag the entire repository as ready for a new release (we expect to
do this with every ISO release):
cvs tag STABLE .
As soon as developers wish to start using this method with moonbase also
we may do so. For the moment moonbase is only available is a HEAD tarball,
however we can add tags and use the HEAD for testing only.
