gcc 3.3 and multi line constants

florin brought up the issue that gcc 3.3  nolonger accepts improperly 
formatted  with out the proper tailing \

here is a sed script that will add a \n and a \

sed -e "28,49 s:\$:\\\n\\\:g"

where 28 is the line from and the 49 is a line to, (inclusive)
