Make sure it is linking aginst /usr/lib/Xft.so.1 and also that
libXft.so.1 is linked to libXft.so in the same directory.....
Sofar did you say yes or no when it asked to compile with gtk1 support?
If you say no it will compile with gtk2 if you say yes it will compile
with gtk1.
