Log:
bump the version from 7.3 to 7.4. Code cleanup. Several changes to tidy up problems with the build system in different environments. One new feature was added: the ability to choose whether \R matches all Unicode linebreak sequences, or just CR, LF, and CRLF. The main code has been refactored to reduce the number of relocations needed when loaded as a shared library
