Log:
Version bump to perl-5.8.8. Florin has tested it on 2.6.x kernels and I've
tested this on gcc-3.4.5, glibc-2.3.6, kernel header 2.4.x. Still has an
inordinate amount of configuration questions that need to be answered as
well as the usual CPAN nightmare afterwards, but a relatively smooth version
bump.
