Summary: qemu cannot build because of gcc version env
variable
Description:
qemu needs a 3.x.x gcc compiler.

I have both the "gcc" and "gcc3" compilers installed,
and the default one is 3.4.6 ("which" is the file in /usr/bin/gcc).

I am not completely sure if everything is fine in my system,
since I cannot use "lunar optimize" to select the compiler & options
(see http://bugs.lunar-linux.org/view.php?id=319).

I have manually downloaded the qemu_0.9.0 source file and built it
successfully
on my system.

But when I use "lin qemu", I get the error you can see in the attached
file.
("ERROR: "/opt/lunar/gcc3/bin/gcc" either does not exist or does not
work")

Apparently, this code in the BUILD of the qemu module:

${GCC3_PREFIX:-/opt/lunar/gcc3}/bin/gcc

expands to something meaningless: "/opt/lunar/gcc3/bin/gcc"

What could be done? Is my system broken or that env variable is not
correct or is it outdated?

I noticed that qemu has been recently updated from version 0.9.0 to version
0.9.1 .

I guess that means that somebody is using it and it works,
because the BUILD script is unchanged from version 0.9.0.

Could you please let me know if the module can be built correctly on your
system?

The issue was solved. The module version was bumped recently.
