Summary: glib-2 "downgraded" from 16.1 to 14.6 prevents
seamonkey to run
Description:
Seamonkey (both ver 1.1.8 and 1.1.9) requires glib-2 ver 16.1 .
Otherwise, it reports:
/usr/lib64/libgtk-x11-2.0.so: undefined reference to `g_dpgettext'

That happens only when glib-2 gets downgraded from 16.1 to 14.6 .
Relining gtk+-2 afterwards does not solve the problem.

Yes you need to down grade glib-2 as it suggests. You will most likely need
to relin a number of other packages such as, atk, gtk+-2 and a few others
of which I forget. How many need a relin depends on how many glib-2
apps/libs you have compiled. Just follow the dependency chain for seamonkey
and that might take care of it.

Thanks.

I resolved this issue by relining these modules (probably more than
necessary):

glib-2
atk
gtk+-2
dbus-glib
gamin
glibmm
libcroco
libgsf
librsvg
ORBit2
libIDL
pango
pygobject
shared-mime-info
