the build scripts for xfce modules should set enviroment settings required
to build. see kde applications for examples.

Agreed. imported ENV vars always needs to be included in either DETAILS,
CONFIGURE or BUILD. We should standardize this, design implications can be
huge.

some additions were made by jasper, perhaps he can confirm this bug is
closed as a result of that?
