Description:
on boot the follow message are displayed
Starting gpm: [PID] gpm: oops() invoked from gpn.c(257)
gpm already running as pid 477: File exists [ FAILED ]
logs give
[/usr/sbin/gpm] oops() invoked from gpn.c(257)
[/usr/sbin/gpm] gpm already running as pid 477: File exists
[gpm] Removing stale pid file /var/run/gpm.pid

It seems this suggestion has in fact been added to the init script, so the
bug can probably be closed. It does at least work for me now.
