linux-wlan-ng is alpha software, it is incompatible with
iwconfig and uses a different version (version 13) of the
Wireless Extension than the latest version of wireless tools
(wireless-tools v 26) which uses version 12.
<p>
because wlan-ng does not try to be compatible with iwconfig,
and because wlan-ng frequently changes it's interface, it
is not a good use of developer time to maintain compatibility
between lnet and this code

additional notes, considering module rollback

from my experience so far I cannot reload either the version in
moonbase (0.2.1-pre11) or 0.2.0 after running APM suspend.
I will test again tomorrow, but am considering rolling back
to the last stable version 0.1.15
