Summary: Postfix getting killed via /etc/init.d/postfix status
Description:
when postfix is started, it places all pid's in /var/spool/postfix/pid
when /etc/init.d/postfix status is called, it kills the master process and
produces the following:
root at Lightning /var/spool/postfix/pid # ps ax|grep master
487 ? S 0:00 [master]
root at Lightning /var/spool/postfix/pid # /etc/init.d/postfix status
/usr/bin/which: no master in
(/usr/local/sbin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin)
/usr/bin/which: no master in
(/usr/local/sbin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin)
Checking postfix: process died! [
FAILED ]
root at Lightning /var/spool/postfix/pid #

It never killed it, making this cosmetical only. I rewrote the status
option of this init.d script.
