[Ferm] migrating from ferm to nftables, will there be nftables-ferm?

Hi,

things have become quiet around ferm and around this list, Debian now
has nftables in stable, and I am wondering where to proceed. Migrating
from ferm to nftables doesn't look to hard since the syntax looks
sufficiently similiar, but ferm surely has more features than plain
nftables.

(1)
stay with iptables and continue using ferm

(2)
migrate to nftables, losing some convenience in the future

(3)
hope for a future ferm-nftables

What would you do?
